Privacy policy

We collect only what we need to plan your trips and fulfill your orders:

• Your email address — to create your account, send receipts, and let you sign in.
• Your name — only if you sign in with Apple or Google and choose to share it.
• Your trips and chats — the destinations, dates, and messages you send our travel assistant, plus any photos you attach, so we can build and remember your itinerary.
• Places you save — spots you add from links or pasted content, including their locations.
• Travel emails you forward — if you forward a booking confirmation to our inbox, we store it to build your itinerary.
• A device notification token — only if you turn on push notifications.
• Your locale, currency, and country hint — to show prices and content that fit where you are.

We do not collect your phone number, home address, or government ID. Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.

Wherever you live, you can email [email protected] to get a copy of the data we hold about you, correct something that's wrong, or ask us to delete your account.

If you sign in to your account, you can also delete it yourself from the Account page. Deletion anonymizes your record: your email is replaced with a hash, your sessions are revoked, and your past orders are kept (we have to keep them for tax purposes) but detached from your identity.

We aim to respond to every privacy request within 30 days, the SLA required by GDPR and CCPA.

We use essential cookies for sign-in and checkout — these can't be disabled without breaking the product. Where local law requires it (e.g. the EU and UK) we ask for consent before loading product analytics. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell your data.

TravelCoach is not intended for users under 16. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete the account immediately.

When we change this page, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top and email anyone with an active account if the change materially affects how we handle their data. Past versions are kept in our git history.
